Center for Musical Antiquities

So many people have asked me what Wendy and I do when we have free time to spare. There really is no free time to spare. Wendy spends countless hours daily, building a new web site called www.centerformusicalantiquities.com. This site is dedicated to her parents Stuart and Lillian Caplin, who for many years were great collectors of antique musical instruments, rare music books and ephemera and had a business by that name. Most of the 500 or so instruments have been sold to collectors or donated to museums through the United States including the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Smithsonian Institute. Whatever is left is now being offered to the public on this extensive website. Please feel free to browse this site for some wonderful musical treasures, most reasonably priced, including antique books, sheet music, photos, autographs, instruments and memorabilia from our musical pastime.
